Docket #: S06-455

Monoclonal Antibody against human LMO2 Antigen

This antibody is directed against the human LMO2 antigen, which is expressed as a transcription factor in certain lymphomas and leukemias. We have recently shown that it identifies those lymphomas derived from germinal center B cells. These lymphomas are the subset with a better response to therapy and a better prognosis.

LMO2 gene translocations have been found in a subset of human T cell acute leukemias.

The LMO2 gene was a site of specific integration of gene therapy vectors which caused leukemia.

Applications

  • Useful in classification of human lymphoma and leukemia.
  • Useful in establishing prognosis in human lymphoma and leukemia
