Docket #: S20-268
BCY123 yeast strain, (ATCC MYA-5007, Saccharomyces cerevisiae Meyen ex E.C. Hansen)
Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain BCY123 is provided as an ampoule containing viable cells (yeast cells, spores, or agar cubes with mycelia) suspended in cryoprotectant. This strain can be used for protein production in yeast.
Advantages
- The strain was engineered to be deficient in proteases, which prevents degradation of your protein of interest. It has also been optimized with the Gal1/10 promoter for robust galactose induced overexpression.
