AgTech

This "AgTech" collection showcases Stanford innovations transforming agriculture through advanced genetics, sustainable fertilizer production, and precision farming technologies. These discoveries promise to enhance crop yields, reduce environmental impact, and enable more efficient food production systems.

The collection includes genetic improvement tools for accelerating plant breeding and crop modification; zero-emission fertilizer technologies that recover nutrients from waste streams; bioproduct platforms converting renewable feedstocks into valuable biochemicals; and precision agriculture systems featuring advanced sensing, spectral imaging, and smart resource management.

Collectively, these technologies support sustainable agriculture by improving crop genetics, eliminating fertilizer emissions, creating circular nutrient economies, and deploying intelligent farming systems. Key investigators include James Swartz, William Tarpeh, and Mark Cappelli.
